2025-2026 Admissions Details

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Step 2: Submit References and Records

After submitting your student’s application, Cornerstone will send the signed records release form to their current school. We will also send a reference request to the teachers and administrators listed in the application. Please note: In order to process the application, we ask that all references and records are submitted within one week of being sent.

Step 3: Complete the Assessment and Student Interview

After we receive a completed application and school records, the student will do the following:

  • Complete an Academic Assessment (unless recent MAP test is on file)

  • Participate in a Shadow Day/Student Interview (5th through 8th grade only)

  • Complete a Student Application and Interview and attend a Shadow Day (High School only)

Step 4: Participate in a Family Interview

After the student assessment and interview(s),

  • For families who do not have DC OSP and need tuition assistance, the tuition assistance application must be completed prior to the family interview meeting. Please note: There is a $50 application fee.

  • The Executive Director and relevant Principal(s) will meet with all caregivers. Any Upper School Students (7-12) should also attend.

This is an opportunity to get to know your family, answer any questions you might have, and discuss your application and tuition assistance.

Step 5: Receive an Admissions Decision

After all steps have been completed, you will receive a final decision on your student’s acceptance to Cornerstone.

  • To enroll an accepted student, the caregivers will need to:

    • Complete the online enrollment documents

    • Sign the financial agreement

    • Create a FACTS payment account if not on OSP.

    • Please note: You must complete all steps in order for your student to be enrolled.

Cornerstone never wants affordability to be a barrier. Our new Founders Scholarship covers more than 90% of a student’s tuition.
