2025 Annual Giving Campaign
Cornerstone partners with families from Kindergarten to Life.
Cornerstone’s beloved Nichols family embodies the impact of generous giving to Cornerstone. Over the years, two Nichols families — each with four children who have attended Cornerstone — have entrusted us with the full educational journey of their children, from 1st grade to college. Today, while two are in university and one is a high school senior, one is just beginning her Cornerstone path.
At Cornerstone, we are not just running a school, we are carrying out a mission: to raise up young people who are academically excellent, spiritually anchored, and called to serve as leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.
Meet the Moment
It is a pivotal moment in Cornerstone’s journey.
Over the past three years, funding from the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) — the city’s school choice initiative — has been capped in funding, falling short of the growing need across our community. As of October 27, over the past 3 years, Cornerstone has seen the number of students supported by OSP drop from 124 to 77, a loss of 47 students and nearly $564,000 in annual tuition revenue.
In response, we have stepped in to cover the gap — because we believe that no child should be turned away from a Cornerstone education due to financial limitations. But this increased commitment requires us to raise $15,000 per student in tuition assistance — a 25% increase to our annual fundraising goal.
Join us
Today, we’re asking you to partner with us, not only to sustain this mission but to expand its reach.
To meet this challenge, we ask you to prayerfully consider joining us or increasing your commitment to Cornerstone to ensure students like the Nichols can remain at Cornerstone and flourish.
