Dean Luckenbaugh became the Executive Director at Cornerstone Schools of Washington, DC in June 2021. Cornerstone’s mission brought together a lifetime of experiences and passion that uniquely aligns with a life commitment to share Christ’s love through community and to provide a rich classical education for students and families who have limited access to these incredible opportunities. Cornerstone is not simply a school, it truly is a family where strangers become brothers, sisters, sons and daughters. Imitating how Christ has adopted us.

Starting in 1990, Dean served the YMCA of Greater Richmond for 13 years completing his tenure as Vice President over three YMCA branches and creating a community development center in a subsidized housing community.

Beginning in 1998, Dean served as the founding Chairman of Veritas School in Richmond, Virginia for 5 years and then as the Head of School for 4 years.

He then served as the Head of School at Ad Fontes Academy in Centreville for 14 years, starting in 2007. He was co-founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Classical Schools, a national leadership development organization for classical Christian schools, from 2009-2013.

Dean holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Richmond Robins School of Business.
